Stay Cool, PEI: Preparing for Heat Waves Together
The rise in frequency and intensity of extreme heat events is undeniable. Recognizing the urgency of this issue, Scout, in collaboration with the Government of Prince Edward Island, designed, implemented, and managed the Stay Cool, PEI Program. The main objective: to help Islanders recognize and address the health risks posed by extreme heat.
In pursuit of this goal, we designed an interactive digital guide, fostering understanding and encouraging proactive measures. Recognizing the diverse target audience and varying levels of technological accessibility, our program incorporated additional community outreach efforts. This ensured that valuable information reached all segments of the population at risk, embodying our commitment to inclusivity and community well-being.
