Scout brings a diplomatic, friendly, attentive, and flexible perspective to our relationships — from finding meaningful solutions for our clients to engaging the public on environmental issues across multiple avenues. Learn from our partners how we strive to be the best part of their day.
Scout Environmental has been a fantastic partner for the City of Peterborough. They truly embody the principles of collaboration, teamwork, and professionalism, making our city’s adoption of the Mercury Roundup program both straightforward and problem-free. I’d urge other municipalities to see how Scout can help you meet your goals, amplify your environmental commitments, and create a healthier, happier community.
Virginia Swinson, Waste Diversion Section Manager, City of Peterborough, Ontario
The Automotive Recyclers of Canada have worked with Scout Environmental for years on various projects: Retire Your Ride, Switch Out, Mow Down Pollution, Car Heaven, Tundra Take-Back, Grants in Gear, and the Canadian Auto Recyclers Environmental Code. Their practical approach to solving environmental problems has always been successful for us, the environment, and society. They have a unique ability to pull together a myriad of stakeholders to solve complex issues, and then make those solutions work in the marketplace. We look forward to working with Scout in the future — they’re great people getting great results.
Steve Fletcher, Managing Director, Automotive Recyclers of Canada (ARC)
Scout’s dedication to hands-on training in the field ensures deliverables are met — no question — but the real success of the program centres around the flexibility and problem-solving skills the team brings from experience working in northern and remote Indigenous communities. Unique challenges such as fire evacuations and limited local materials do not get in their way for creating the strong relationships needed to build the workers’ confidence and establish a safety-oriented work environment.
Working with Scout Environmental as a Recycling Volunteer for the Tundra Take-Back program has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I’ve traveled with Scout to three different Indigenous communities across Canada, training community members to safely and responsibly de-pollute end-of-life vehicles. And throughout my volunteer experience, Scout has not only made me feel like a member of their team, but also like a member of their family. Looking forward to my next Tundra Take-Back adventure!

It’s been fantastic working with Scout Environmental on the Air Health Check program. The team has educated thousands of runners and walkers across Canada at Running Room locations and event expos about the Air Quality Health Index (and AQHI Canada app) and how it can improve their health and well-being. Individual team-members have been excellent partners throughout as they are consistently organized and great communicators. We always look forward to working with Scout Environmental!
Jarina Yeung, Director of Marketing, Running Room
I’m a Scout fan for sure! The people there are buttoned-down on the details and great examples of teamwork in action. It’s refreshing and super helpful to have such clear direction and communication for every stage of the Air Health Check campaign. Retailers shouldn’t think twice about partnering with Scout Environmental.
